Metropolitan School Welcomes Senior Cognia Leaders

Metropolitan School had the honor of welcoming Mr. Sherif El Taweel, Senior Accreditation Specialist, and Dr. André Harrison, Senior Vice President of Accreditation Services at Cognia.

During their visit, our guests were given a comprehensive tour of the campus, exploring our state-of-the-art facilities, visiting classrooms across different grade levels, and engaging with both students and teachers. They also stopped by our newly inaugurated library, “The Think Box,” where they met our administrative team and attended a special presentation session.

Students from Elementary, Middle, and High School proudly showcased their learning experiences and school spirit, while our Teaching, Learning, and Professional Development Department presented highlights of our AP results, recent achievements, and continuous progress.

Dr. Harrison concluded the visit with inspiring words, expressing how impressed he was by the school’s staff, students, and overall learning environment, adding that he was delighted to have Metropolitan School as the first school he visits on his very first trip to Egypt.

It was truly a memorable day that reflects Metropolitan School’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and continuous growth.

President of McGraw Hill’s School Group visits MET!

We were honored to welcome Mr. Sean Ryan, President of McGraw Hill’s School Group, to Metropolitan School one of only three schools in Egypt selected for his visit.

As the leader of McGraw Hill’s global PreK–12 education division, Mr. Ryan plays a key role in shaping tools, programs, and services that support differentiated instruction and purposeful technology in classrooms worldwide.

During his visit, Mr. Ryan toured our facilities and sat down with our School Director, Mr. Ernest Espino, along with our Teaching & Learning Team.

This visit marks a significant milestone for Metropolitan School, reinforcing our dedication to innovation and excellence in education.

We were honored to welcome Prof. Tarek Shawki, former Minister of Education, as a distinguished guest at our graduation ceremony.

His presence added exceptional value to this milestone event, and his inspiring words of wisdom resonated deeply with our graduates. Prof. Shawki’s message on perseverance, innovation, and the future of education reminded our students of the responsibility and potential they carry as they step confidently into their next chapter.
